Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy or use SpeedEdit, a desktop application for Windows that edits talking videos into short, ready-to-post versions. By purchasing or using the software you agree to these terms.
The product
SpeedEdit is a one-time purchase. Your payment buys a lifetime license to install and use the software on your personal computer. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
Your license
- One license is for one person. You may install it on your own computers (for example a desktop and a laptop you personally use).
- Your license key is delivered by email after payment. Keep it safe — it is your proof of purchase.
- You may not resell, share, or publish your license key, and you may not redistribute, rent, or sell the software itself.
- You may use the videos you create for any purpose, personal or commercial. They are yours.
Third-party services
Captions are generated using an AI service key that you create in your own name (for example a free Groq account). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. The software itself runs on your computer.
Updates and support
Bug fixes and improvements may be released from time to time and are free for license holders. Support is provided by email at our support address.
Fair use and liability
The software is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable, but we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or content you create with it. You are responsible for having the rights to the footage you edit. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid.
Changes
If these terms change, the latest version will always be published on this page.
